Analogic Corp., a producer of advanced imaging and detection technology, recently settled its headquarters in Salem, New Hampshire, transferring operations from Peabody, Massachusetts. The move introduced over 500 jobs to the region and marked a strategic shift for the company’s research and manufacturing activities.
The new headquarters covers 200,000 square feet—less than half the size of the former facility but designed to meet current operational demands. The company celebrated the transition with a ribbon-cutting event attended by government officials, business partners, and local leaders, including Governor Kelly Ayotte. The CEO emphasized this relocation as more than a move, calling it a defining moment for the company’s identity and future growth.
Founded in 1967, Analogic specializes in imaging and power technologies serving the healthcare, aviation security, and industrial sectors. Its airport baggage screening systems are currently in use across more than two dozen countries. Recently, Analogic secured a contract to supply Heathrow Airport in London with its latest explosive detection systems, integrating with existing baggage screening infrastructure.
The relocation and expansion follow a period of significant growth for Analogic, which doubled its business size despite facing challenges such as the global pandemic, supply chain disruptions, and funding delays. A board member highlighted this success during the event, also pointing to forthcoming changes involving a merger with Leidos’ Security Enterprise Solutions, Ports & Borders, and Industrial Automation divisions. The merger, expected to finalize in late 2026, will create an enhanced global security imaging and detection enterprise operating under the Analogic brand as a privately held company.
Analogic’s new facility and strategic partnerships underscore its role in advancing airport security and imaging technologies internationally. The company’s continuous innovation, supported by investments and operational shifts like the recent headquarters move, positions it as a key player in security and healthcare technology markets.
