Anastasiia Berezovska, the Ukrainian woman suspected of orchestrating a parcel bomb explosion in Monaco, was found shot dead in Ukraine, according to the country's security service (SBU). Authorities identified the body by forensic means, confirming it belonged to the 39-year-old woman linked to a June blast that injured a Ukrainian billionaire and his family.

The explosion in Monaco targeted Vadym Yermolaiev, a real estate magnate under international sanctions, along with his partner and their teenage son. Berezovska was believed to have fled Europe via Italy and Germany after the attack, and was the subject of an Interpol red notice prior to her death.

Investigators revealed that Berezovska had recently returned to Ukraine and maintained contact with two suspects accused of involvement in the Monaco attack, including a current intelligence officer within Ukraine’s Defense Ministry and a former law enforcement officer. The SBU reported that these individuals had repeatedly transferred money to Berezovska’s accounts in recent weeks.

According to Ukrainian officials, the intelligence officer admitted to killing Berezovska with the assistance of the former officer, claiming the killing was not part of his official duties. A search of the ex-officer's residence uncovered a basement area that resembled a torture chamber, raising further concerns over the case.
